Volunteer work

since 2001 we work voluntarily with the SES Bonn www.ses-bonn.de  in Latin America and Africa. Werner worked as an expert and Astrid as his assistant. In total, we have successfully completed 25 missions.

2 x Cochabamba in Bolivia (advice to the local water authority Semapa),

2 x Canaima in Venezuela (planning and construction of a water supply for the Pemon Indios),

1x Rwaza in Rwanda (improvement of the water supply of the village and new water connection for an orphanage)

and 20 x in different places in Costa Rica (mainly in drinking water projects, but also greenhouses and power supply systems).

The missions lasted between 3 weeks and 4 months. In the process, we helped some 3000 people to get fresh, clean drinking water; with the greenhouses we showed the small farmers how to grow fresh vegetables, and how to produce natural fertilizer using earthworms. In the meantime, 12 tons of earthworm compost is produced here every year. This year, a mission Mexico and a mission in Costa Rica are planned.
