Pepper is a genus of the family of the pepper family (Piperaceae). It includes more than a thousand kinds of different size and shape. Members of this genus are almost everywhere native to the tropics. All species require a warm climate, moist, humus-rich soil and do not tolerate frost. Our neighbor Jorge Campos planted for years near the Finca La Virgen this Pepper.
