Gymnema sylvestre

Gymnema sylvestre is a plant from the tropical forests of South and Central India and Sri Lanka, is also planted in Costa Rica and developed in this subtropical climate splendid. Gymnema Sylvestre, an ancient Ayurvedic herb, has been used in India for over 2000 years as a healthy and nutritious supplement. Gymnema Sylvestre supports carbohydrate metabolism.

The ayurvedic plant Gymnema sylvestre is used in traditional medicine to control the blood glucose levels and suppress the hot starvation on sugary products. The administration of Gymnema has made it possible in a study to reduce glucose excretion by the urine and the blood glucose in 85% of insulin-dependent diabetics (type I). In other studies, Gymnema has reduced blood glucose on an empty stomach and the insulin requirement of type I diabetics, without causing hypoglycemia (severe glucose loss) in the non-diabetic controls. The Gymnema also reduces the drug dose required for diabetics type II (non-insulin-dependent) to control the blood glucose. Interestingly, the Gymnema sylvestre improves the functioning of the pancreas and apparently increases the number of beta cells that produce the insulin and the pancreas. It is the only known substance that exerts such a regenerative effect.

Stevia rebaudiana
Stevia rebaudiana is a perennial, warming, herbaceous plant that grows in subtropics. The plant originally comes from South America. For centuries Stevia rebaudiana has already been used by the indigenous population of Brazil and Paraguay as a sweetener and medicine.
Stevia is a species known for centuries, which can also be called a natural sweetener.
Blood pressure lowering, antihypertensive, antimicrobial and vasodilatory properties have been observed in studies. No adverse effects were observed in Japan and South America. Stevia is also suitable for diabetics and does not increase the blood glucose level. It has a plaque inhibitory effect and is therefore preventive against tooth decay and thus tooth-friendly.
No dependence was observed.
Gymnema sylvestre and Stevia rebaudiana are not medicines. They are food supplements and are not offered to diagnose, prevent or treat diseases.
